Android

Download an Android wallet from the Google Playstore. You can choose either the original Android wallet which has a direct link to redeem coins from the tutor-web, or the very nice coinomi wallet, with support for multiple electronic currencies.

Alternatively (not recommended), Click here to download the latest release from github. Note for this to work you will first have to enable installing from unknown sources first, by going to Settings → Security.

iPAD/iPhone

APPLE HAS REMOVED THE SMLY WALLET FROM THE APP STORE!!! 

Search the Apple App Store.

Search for Smileycoin or Education in a Suitcase.


Linux

To download and install the SMLY wallet (daemon) on a Linux box (Ubuntu), follow these instructions.

sudo apt-get install build-essential libboost-all-dev \
                     libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb5.1-dev \
                     libdb5.1++-dev git qt-sdk libminiupnpc-dev
git clone https://github.com/tutor-web/smileyCoin.git
cd smileyCoin/src
make -f makefile.unix
./smileycoind     # gives an "error" where it tells you you need to make a
                  # smileycoin.conf file in the wallet directory, 
                  # it will give you the rpc user and password to put in the file
./smileycoind --server &

Compilation instructions for Android wallet

Before starting, make sure you have the following installed:

  • Maven 3.1.1
  • Android SDK
  • Java 7

(The paths to all of the above need to be included in the PATH variable.)

In your working directory:

$ git clone https://github.com/tutor-web/smileycoinj.git
$ git clone https://github.com/tutor-web/smileycoin-android.git
$ cd smileycoinj
$ mvn clean install -DskipTests
$ mvn install:install-file -Dfile=core/target/smileycoinj-1.0.jar \
    -DgroupId=com.google -DartifactId=smileycoinj -Dversion={version} \
    -Dpackaging=jar -DgeneratePom $ mvn clean install -DskipTests
$ cd ../smileycoin-android $ mvn clean install -DskipTests

To run on your android device you need:

  • To have the device connected via USB
  • Developer mode enabled on the device
  • USB debugging enabled on the device

Run the following:

$ cd smileycoin-android/wallet
$ mvn clean install android:deploy android:run -DskipTests
